Brought to you by the letter "R"

This post is dedicated to the letter "R".

"R" is for "Romance", as in Valentines Day was wonderful. It was our first Valentines Day together, as last year, Valentines Day fell on a weird period of being broken up. Matt still made Michelle a Valentines Day card last year, but...he made about 20 Valentines Day cards. Only 1 was for Michelle. This year, all of Matt's VDay attention went to Michelle. There were flowers. There were chocolate covered strawberries. There was candlelight dinner. There were gifts (both spouses). It was a wonderful night. Here is a photo of the dinner.

"R" is for "Riches", because that is what we are rolling in with Michelle and Matt both working. Matt, full time for half pay, and Michelle, half time for full pay. We celebrate our new found wealth with bridled candor. In other words, consumption patters remain roughly the same, with the occasional yogurtland or dollar theater venture more likely.

"R" is for "Rebounding", because that is what BYU needs to do a lot of. Actually, who are we kidding. As long as they hit those 3 pointers like they did against Gonzaga, they wont have much that they need to rebound. Go cougars! We are loving the tournament, and Michelle is dominating the family and friends brackets.

"R" is for "Round", as in, round cake. Michelle's birthday was a couple days ago and we celebrated with breakfast in bed (green shamrock-shaped pancakes), presents, the NCAA tournament - including a BYU win - and lots of close exciting games, and a round, white cake with strawberries and whipped cream on top.

"R" is for "Really in Love Even When Sometimes There Are Challenges"-- we have discovered that marriage sometimes brings challenges, but we are still in love. Woohoo and phew! Marriage is wonderful.

  1. Awwww, you guys are too cute!!! Too bad you don't blog enough - it's always so disappointing to refresh and see nothing there- booo, blog more! We should go on a Temple date again because that is the only time we go near you guys - we are probably hurting more in terms of budgeting (baby coming too.. ack!) but we eat out cheaply once a week and that is usually Temple date night on Fridays. ps about time to have a baby so Jordan has a buddy.....
